Beginning October 1, 2013, the administration of pharmacy benefit services will transition to OptumRx, a United Healthcare Services company. The intent of the aforementioned change is designed to help Oxford Health Plans, LLC better serve its covered members while improving the overall experience of each covered member.
What does this mean?
In the next few weeks, covered members will get a new health plan identification card (the “Card”) in the mail listing OptumRx information on the Card.
The Card will be effective October 1, 2013.
Most mail service prescriptions with remaining refills will automatically transfer.
In most scenarios, OptumRx will contact covered members when it is time to process your previously submitted and approved refill order. For the refills which do not automatically transfer, please contact the Customer Service telephone number listed on the back of your health plan identification card.
If you are seeking more information about the transition to OptumRx, please call the Customer Service telephone number listed on the back of your health plan identification card.
For online assistance you can go to www.oxfordhealth.com , click on “Online Pharmacy” and log in to the Optum Rx site.
