IN PREPARATION FOR HURRICANE SANDY

As you are probably aware by now, it appears that the East Coast may be directly impacted by hurricane Sandy in the next few days.

New Jersey Emergency Management web site http://www.state.nj.us/njoem/ has important information about planning and preparing before weather emergencies. The FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) website below also has a lot of useful information and tools that may be of value as you prepare your families and homes for potential emergency situations: http://www.fema.gov/

 

You might want to contact your local town and ask what measurements are in place in case of flood. Advise you employees to have access to a list of phone numbers to contact your office in case of emergency. It is highly recommended but not required, to advice company employees to make preparations and make available to their families items of high importance such as water, batteries, food and other essentials for at least 3 days per member of the family.
